2.2 Practice Introductions
Once you have learned the phrases from the previous page, it is now time to practice different possible conversations. This will hopefully help you feel confident when you introduce yourself to others in the community!

Just a reminder that all conversations are fluid, and there may be more than one right answer. The blue circles are an example answer that works in the conversation and uses words and phrases from the previous page.

The left is the person you are talking to (in the green speech bubble). The blue circles are your responses (or at least one possible response you may give). The blue circles are activated by hovering your mouse over them. Practice here and then try out the conversations!

Points to remember in the conversation:
-
If you are asked how you are, it is polite to ask them back too

"Naket cehocefkv te?"
"Etekerreyat here tos! Cemvliketv nake towv?"

Points to remember in the conversation:
-
If you are properly speaking Mvskoke, if you say "Hesci", you should follow it up with "Estonko?" or a similar phrase asking how the other person is doing.
-
"Estonko?" literally means "Got no problems?", so one of the many answers you can give to this question is a simple "Ehe" to say "Yes, (I have no problems)"

Conversation 3
Person A and B
A: "Estonko?"
A: "Ehe"
B: "Vneu. Stan cvhocefkv tos. Naket cehocefkv te?"
A: "Claire cvhocefkv tos.
Hvlpvtvlke vmvliketv tos. Centv?"
B: "Yvhv'vlke towis. Etekerreyat here tos."
A: "Ehe. Hvtvm cehecares!"

Points to remember in the conversation:
-
Since Person A asked how you were, you asked them back. However, if you wanted to ask both A and B how they were, there are several different phrases you could use--we just only covered one version on the last page.
-
Remember that when you are saying goodbye to multiple people, you have to use the correct form. We say it different depending on whether we are saying goodbye to 1 person vs more than 1 person. Did you use the right one?
