Mvskoke Language Class

We’re excited to announce that registration is now open for our upcoming online Mvskoke Language Classes, which begins this Thursday, February 12! These classes are designed to help learners of all levels.

​

Classes are on Monday (12:00 PM CST), Thursday (6:30 PM CST), and Friday (12:00 PM CST).

Join us for the third Opunvkv Kerreyat Ipunkerrepvs, a monthly meeting designed to bring together Mvskoke language learners of all levels. These gatherings create a supportive space where participants can build community, connect with practice partners, and receive helpful resources for their language journey.

Each month will feature opportunities for guided practice, cultural sharing, and open conversation. Whether you are just beginning or already conversational, this event will help you strengthen your skills while meeting others who share the same passion for revitalizing and speaking Mvskoke on a daily basis.

Who Can Attend:
Open to all Muscogee Nation citizens or heritage learners interested in learning or practicing the language. 

What to Expect:

  • Community introductions and casual conversation practice

  • Sharing resources and learning tools

  • Opportunities to find a language partner

  • A welcoming, supportive environment for all levels

Mvskoke Language Camp

We are excited to announce that the Mvskoke Language Revitalization Program will be hosting the 2026 Mvskoke Language Camp, taking place June 8–12, 2026, at Sequoyah State Park. This five-day camp is open to students entering 7th–12th grade who are enrolled members of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation and have an interest in learning and strengthening the Mvskoke language through engaging language instruction and cultural activities.

 

Camp Details:

Dates: Monday-Friday, June 8–12, 2026

Location: Sequoyah State Park, Hulbert, OK

Eligibility: MCN-enrolled students entering 7th–12th grade (must not be 18 before June 8, 2026)

Application Deadline: May 1, 2026, by 5:00 PM

Application Requirements: Completed application, copy of citizenship card, and a 200-word essay on the importance of preserving the Mvskoke language

 

We encourage employees to share this opportunity with eligible students and families who may be interested. The application can be accessed by scanning the QR code on the flyer or by visiting our website.
